The site proposed to work with this semester is located in the surroundings of SantCugat in the metropolitan area of Barcelona.

The station was built taking advantage of a clearing zone in the existent railway and started the service in 1965. The passenger building, which is accessed via a staircase and an elevator, is located one level above the tracks, perpendicular to them. This building iscomposed by a ground floor and a floor under the level of the street.

The halt of Sant Joan has two tracks and a central platform completely covered by a metal canopy.

On the ground floor you can find the auto-sales ticket machines and the access control gates to the platforms. Just at the exit of the station, there is a bus, which is also part of the Metro network, that serves the surroundingsof SantCugat above all the polygon Casa Sant Joan.

The program of this semester is based on the transformation of the station into a new central point, based on adding a program and remodeling the station by adding trade.

The project includes the reform of the urban zone and station environment.
